Organize the World - event Report

Honouring The Nobel Peace Prize Laureaete, Alfred Hermann Fried, Life, Work and Lasting Impact, Sean MacBride Peace Prize Ceremony and IPB’s Council Meeting

Potsdam, 28^th and 29^th of October 2011, the symposium “Organise the World” was held in the honour of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Alfred Hermann Fried in which various sessions were held on his life, work and lasting impact on pacifism and peace promotion.

The other highlight of the conference was the IPB Sean MacBride Peace Prize 2011 Awards which went to Hanaa Edwar (Iraqi Human Rights Activist) and Dr Peter Becker (Co-President International Lawyers against Nuclear Arms). Both of the laureates spoke at the event and thanked IPB for awarding them the prizes. The event was well attended including large number of Iraqi citizens living in the Europe.
